Promising a feast of colour and activity and a celebration of cultural diversity, One World Week takes place at the University of Warwick from 13-21 January 2006. First held in 1995, One World Week is recognised as the world's largest student-run event and is organised by a team of 200 students, with more than 20,000 participants from 120 countries.

Past participants at the event have included Ravi Shankar, Claire Short and Montelle Jordan and One World Week has received commendations from the likes of Boutros Boutros-Ghali and Sonia Gandhi. The week features a wide range of activities and events including; a fashion show, performances, an international buffet, high profile talks and passionate debate, sports, music, drama and exhibitions from around the world. The theme for this year One World Forum is Freedom. This part of the event features many academic discussions, interactive talks, workshops and debates, about subjects such as poverty, globalisation and human trafficking. Speakers from Amnesty International, the BBC, Al-Jazeera, Financial Times, ASHOKA, Accenture, Transparency International, International Committee of the Red Cross, UNIFEM are all taking part. There will be a film festival, theatre, live dance and music. Plus events like a pottery workshop, street theatre and the making on a giant One World quilt. Many varied sports will be available for people to watch and participate in. The will be Tournaments, Competitions, Matches, and Workshops.
