The Macmillian Christmas tree in Stratford
Macmillian Christmas tree in Stratford

Remember a loved one with lights

Honour someone who can't be with you this Christmas by sponsoring a light on a Christmas tree and raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief at the same time.

Christmas can be a difficult time if you are missing someone you love but you can help ease the pain by honouring your absent friend and raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief at the same time.

BBc Coventry & Warwickshire and Macmillan Cancer Relief are inviting you to sponsor a light on on one of four Christmas Trees across Coventry and Warwickshire in honour of a loved one.  The suggested donation for each light is £5 although any amount would be gratefully received.

You can honour a member of your family, a friend or work colleague - anybody who, for whatever reason, cannot be with you at Christmas. As an acknowledgement of your donation Macmillan will send you a specially designed Christmas greeting card dedicated to the person you are thinking of.

Sadly, more than one in three of us will be diagnosed with cancer and the reality is  access to the best information, treatment and care still depends on where we live.

Macmillan is committed to providing more cancer care services in your area for the foreseeable future and with your help we will be able to honour that commitment.

As well as taking action today to support people from the moment they suspect they have cancer, Macmillan is helping to shape the future of cancer care by providing medical and other support.

Trees in Stratford, Meriden and two in Coventry - one in West Orchards and one at Holyhead - will be sporting lights dedicated to loved ones this Christmas - why not add your memories?
