Anita Miah is on air Monday to Thursday between 7pm and 10pm with an interactive radio programme that invites you to join the search for a different side of life in Coventry and Warwickshire. True Stories You can listen to true stories told by people living in our area - from a returning soldier from Iraq to a personal perspective from a near-victim of the 7 July bombings in London and the tale of an 80-year-old who lost his wife before finding love again with his carer. There are many ways in which you can hear your story told in the evenings on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire. Whether you want to talk about your life, your job, your passions or just want to record your thoughts on life, the universe and everything. Maybe you want to inspire others by sharing your experiences or perhaps you have something important to say and you need some help expressing it. Story workshops are held at the BBC Coventry and Warwickshire Open Centre and Anita is happy to talk to you about how you could record your story for broadcast. A Postcard from Coventry and Warwickshire Send a postcard to Anita to tell her about where you live and you could hear your area featured in the evenings on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire. Anita’s so far had postcards from the Wizard Brewer of Witcham, the Bread Weigher in Alcester and the chairman of Kineton History Society. Why not add your place to the list? New Music You can get your ears around loads of new music with Anita as she showcases up-and-coming from acts from around our area. If you're a local musician and want to get in touch just send in a demo CD and may find yourself invited to perform live on Anita’s show at our studios. Film Club and Book Club Anita will be bringing you regular updates from the BBC Coventry and Warwickshire Book Club and Film Club. You can get involved by doing book and film reviews or simply join in by listening to the programme. Our Film Club will look at unusual, low budget, British and World Cinema releases with Warwick Arts centre and is supported by ScreenWM. Guest Reporters If you are interested in becoming a guest reporter for the evening programme then Anita would like to hear from you. You could be sent out to review arts and entertainment events around Coventry and Warwickshire and all you have to do is talk to her about it afterwards on the programme.
