Meet Rosie King

You may have met Rosie out and about reporting into Annie Othen's show. Now you can meet her properly by reading her profile!

Q: What's your name?
A: Rosie King.
Q: From?
A: Devon ... Bristol ... and now Coventry!
Q: Star Sign?
A: Cancer (but I don’t follow ‘em).
Q: Joined the Beeb in?
A: 2005
Q: What has your career involved so far?
A: Studied English at York. Worked as a trainee youth worker at a church in Bristol for two years. Became a runner for a post-production TV company for seven months - then moved to good old Cov and Warks, where I worked in the Open Centre for two years. Since then I've done bits and pieces all over the station and have landed, very pleasantly, into Annie Othen's show!
Q: What does your job involve?
A: I research and find great guests and topics for interviews, do a bit of technical support, go out on the occasional report and generally help make the morning show into the fab programme it is. No two days are the same - and I love it!
Q: What do you like the most about BBC Coventry & Warwickshire?
A: I love that we are a resource for the communities in Coventry and Warwickshire - covering real stories that perhaps no one else would bother with. My favourite thing is getting out and about, meeting all sorts of amazing people, finding out what they're up to and giving them the chance to tell everyone else about it!
Q: What's your favourite place in Coventry and Warwickshire?
A: Time for Tea in Kenilworth - tea in a pot and cakes on a stand. Brilliant!
Q: Who's your favourite person?
A: God. He’s amazing.
Q: What's your favourite hobby?
A: Reading in the sun.
Q: Your favourite food?
A: Mexican
Q: Your favourite drink?
A: G&T
Q: Favourite song?
A: Mind Trick by Jamie Cullum - gets me dancin’!
Q: Favourite film?
A: Breakfast at Tiffany’s or Steel Magnolias.
Q: Give us a fascinating fact about yourself:
A: I have my grade five in Synchronised Swimming.
