Meet reporter Paul Marriott

Meet Paul Marriott, who you may have heard reading the news on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire.

Q: What's your name?
A: Paul Marriott.
Q: From?
A: Here, there, everywhere!
Q: Star Sign?
A: Aquarius.
Q: Joined the Beeb in?
A: 1995
Q: What has your career involved so far?
A: You name it, I’ve done it. From news reading at BBC WM in Birmingham, TV reporting for Midlands Today to producing documentaries for Radio 4, it’s been one heck of an experience.
Q: What does your job involve?
A: Oh a bit of this, a bit of that, read the news and stuff like that ... you name it, I do it.
Q: What do you like most about BBC Coventry & Warwickshire?
A: Being able to see in (and out) through the big glass windows in the studios. It's just great to be so close to the audience, no other radio station either in Coventry or anywhere else for that matter can boast that degree of openess.
Q: What's your favourite place in Coventry and Warwickshire?
A: Sheep Street, Stratford – I just love the restaurants there.
Q: Who's your favourite person?
A: Well, people actually. My wife and two wonderful children.
Q: What's your favourite hobby?
A: I sing, but you really don’t want to hear it.
Q: Your favourite food?
A: Meat.
Q: Your favourite drink?
A: A good French Rose.
Q: Favourite song?
A: I’m not sure really, my tastes change.
Q: Favourite film?
A: Monty Python's Life of Brian.
Q: Give us a fascinating fact about yourself:
A: My dad invented the insectocutor… and before you ask, no we didn’t make a penny from it.
