Headline:
Showers dying away, fine for a time, then rain later.

Today:
Starting with scattered showers, possibly falling as sleet over the Moors. Becoming dry this morning with sunny spells, before rain arrives from the southwest this afternoon, turning heavy at times. However the rain is unlikely to reach Gloucestershire.

Tonight:
A band of rain will continue north this evening, heavy at times. Clearer conditions will follow for a time, before very heavy and sometimes thundery showers arrive across the south.

Sunday:
Showers or longer spells of rain across Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, with brighter conditions but still a few showers further west. Breezy, feeling rather cold.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Monday will be mostly dry with sunny spells, and only isolated light showers. Tuesday after a dry and frosty start rain will arrive through the afternoon. Wednesday sunshine and showers.
