FACTS

Tell Me On Sunday was written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black.

The musical was written especially for Marti Webb who reprises the role in Plymouth in September.

A sign of the times - in the original production "the girl" corresponded to her mother by letter. In the current production she uses Email.

Tell Me On A Sunday is in actual fact the expansion of half of "Song and Dance", another Andrew Lloyd Webber musical.

Marti Webb is reviving her unforgettable performance in Tell Me On A Sunday.

It was originally written especially for her by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black.

The soundtrack album reached Number One in the charts, along with the single 'Take That Look Off Your Face'.

Webb still captivates. Her voice is as fine as ever - with her engaging stage presence and a twinkle in her eye, the star made everyone's night one to remember.
The Scottish Mail on Sunday

Tell Me On A Sunday charts the course of a young English girl newly arrived in New York. Brimming with optimism, she sets out to seek success, companionship and, of course, love.

But as she weaves her way through the maze of the city and her own anxieties, frustrations and heartaches she begins to wonder whether - in fact - she's been looking for love in all the wrong places.

The musical features direction by the Broadway and West End award-winning Matthew Warchus (Our House, Art, Follies) and additional material by the fantastic singer, actor, writer, comedienne, Jackie Clune.

Other classic songs featured include: 'Unexpected Song', and 'Tell Me On A Sunday', plus five brand new songs.

The musical is funny, poignant and moving. The songs reveal the touching story of one woman looking for love.
