This year
St Ives September Festival looks to be an even bigger event
than the last, including many renowned artists, poets and musicians.
The Festival itself dates back to 1978 when it was based on
the arts events and open studio days of the 30's and 40's. Its
unique position, geographically and historically, make St. Ives
an ideal place to host such an event such as this.
Since the Festival was resurrected in 1994, it has attracted
visitors from all over the world to its diverse programme of
art, poetry, literature, jazz, folk, rock and world music.
Hotels, pubs and clubs throughout St Ives come alive with sounds
spilling out onto the street. The diversity of this festival
proves that there will be something for everyone.
