Bloctober in Cornwall
As the evenings begin to draw in Truro prepares for Bloctober similar to October but with one main difference, on October 22 indie pioneers Bloc Party will be taking to the stage at the Hall for Cornwall. The Cornwall stop is part of a giant tour.
A band that have been at the height of the indie music scene since their debut album was released in 2005 will be journeying to Cornwall in October.
Bloc Party are a band renowned for their live shows in both intimate and festival venues and will be visiting Cornwall on one of their largest UK tours to date, in the month of Bloctober where they'll be travelling all over the country.
The band will be well and truly warmed up for the tour after finishing the sold out European leg of their Intimacy world tour which took them to South America, America and Australia.
In addition to this the band filled 25,000 seats for the two London Olympia shows and stormed the main stage at this year's Reading and Leeds festival.
Bloc Party are a band that have always been keen to progress and try new things with their sound on each new release.

Their first album 'Silent Alarm' in 2005 saw them rocket into the big leagues of the indie scene and a remix album the following summer showed a band keen to play with their sound.
Second album; 'A Weekend in the City' saw a mature sound emerge before the band took a dive into the alternative electro scene with their latest album 'Intimacy' and current single 'One More Chance'.
Bloc Party are a band that thrive off their live shows, after four years of heavy touring all over the world the four have developed a tight sound both in and out of the studio.
The band have a dedicated following at their live gigs and in the online community with a large number of worldwide subscribers on their online community 'The Marshalls and Pioneers' named after the songs from the band's early days.
Bloc Party will play Truro's Hall for Cornwall on Thursday August 22 with tickets on sale now.
