Love Riot and Rampling

Legendary international house DJ Danny Rampling will be making a rare appearance in St Ives as the very special guest of club night Love Riot on Saturday 11 July at the re-launched Isobar Is Dead club.

Alongside monsieur Rampling will be Love Riot's own resident and Cornish house DJ Ry Spenceley playing electro house, while downstairs will be local talents Dave Spenceley and Will Vegas of 'Sir Vinyl of the Fattest' dishing out the more laidback beats.

Love Riot debauchery

Known as 'The Godfather of UK House', Rampling's fame and notoriety originated from the late 80s when he kick started the house explosion in the UK with his seminal club night Shoom.

The now legendary night is where many of the other world renowned DJ's made their name, including a certain Carl Cox. Mr Rampling totally changed the scene in the UK and has since gone on to be one of the most sought after and successful House DJ's in the world.

His CV is packed full of worldwide residencies, eight years with BBC Radio One with his ultra popular 'Love Groove Dance Party' and he was an integral part of the popularity of Kiss FM prior to that.

Danny has since taken a step back from DJing to concentrate on other ventures, playing only a handful of carefully selected gigs.

Love Riot's Ry Spenceley says: "We've thrown a lot of great parties over the years, but I'm particularly excited about this one. It'll be a great honour to play alongside Danny. He pretty much started the whole club scene off in the UK. The guy is a real live living legend".

Set right in the centre of this St Ives, 'Isobar Is Dead' has recently undergone a complete makeover and re-launch.

Love Riot has built itself a reputation for notorious dance floor debauchery and has a strong reputation amongst party goers and DJs alike.

Love Riot will be bringing the party to Isobar Is Dead, St Ives on Saturday 11 July, 9pm-3am. Upstairs - Danny Rampling and DJ Ry Spenceley - Funked up disco house.
Downstairs - Dave Spenceley and Will Vegas (Sir Vinyl of the Fattest) - disco, funk, dubstep and beyond.
