Helston's News Day

Helston Community College students have taken part in the BBC's School Report Day. The youngsters transformed their classroom into a busy newsroom, while they reported on local, national and international news. See their news reports...

Youngsters from Helston Community College have been eagerly awaiting the day they became news reporters for the BBC.

The students had successfully run a training day so when Thursday 26 March 2009 came along they were ready to be journalists for the day.

A Teen’s Guide to the Credit Crunch

Three School Reporters Beth, Elliott and Richard investigated the Credit Crunch and its impact on the high street in Helston.

An Earthquake in Culdrose

School Reporters Iona, Emma, Claire and Megan spent the day helping Shelter Box at their training day for volunteers. Reporter Iona took the role of a victim of an earthquake.

Fair Trade Investigation

Reporters Caitlin, Ellie, Jadine and Lauren investigated Fair Trade Fortnight for this podcast.
