From Wigan to Eden
The Verve has been announced as the first band to be appearing at the world famous biomes this summer. This will be the seventh year of the Eden Sessions, which has seen a vast array of stars performing infront of thousands of people.
The biomes at Eden have been the picturesque backdrop for some memorable gigs in the past seven years.
Pulp, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen and many more have appeared at the open air concerts that make up the Eden Sessions.
This year's Sessions will begin in June. The first band to be officially announced in the 2008 line up is The Verve.

The band, headed by Richard Ashcroft, were part of the Brit Pop explosion of the '90s.
They formed in 1990 in Wigan and released their debut album 'A Storm in Heaven' three years later. In 1995, they followed it up with the hugely-acclaimed 'A Northern Soul'.
In the summer of 1997, they established themselves as one of the most important English rock bands of all time with the release of 'Urban Hymns', an album that included the seminal 'Bittersweet Symphony' and the band's first UK number one single 'The Drugs Don't Work'.
The record became the fifth fastest selling British album ever, sold eight million copies worldwide, and went platinum in the US.
In a recent poll by 'Q' and 'HMV', 'Urban Hymns' was voted the tenth best British album of all time.
One year after the band announced they were re-forming, The Verve will be rocking the biomes as part of the Eden Sessions.
Catch the band live at Eden on Friday 27 June 2008.
Tickets cost £35 plus a booking fee of £5 and will go on general sale on Thursday March 27 at 6.30pm. To book, call the Eden box office on 01726 811972 or visit the website below.
