Also playing will be Paolo Nutini, Guillemots, Enter Shikari and Scott Matthews. The countdown to Europe’s biggest surf, skate and music festival is officially on and organisers announce that British Rock Band ASH are set to headline Friday 10 August at Unleashed. After a couple of years break, ASH returned last month with their first single “You Can’t Have It All’’ taken from the forthcoming fifth album “Twilight of The Innocents”. Having recently completed their first UK shows since Glastonbury 2005, the band celebrated their return with a countrywide tour of universities, where they road tested several new tracks scheduled to be on the new album. ![]() Paolo Nutini ASH complete the festival's two-night headline line-up although some huge support acts are still to be announced. The line up for 2007 will include one of Scotland's finest exports, Paolo Nutini. At the age of just 18-years-old he was signed by Atlantic Records. Since then he has fast carved a contemporary niche for himself in the tradition of heavy weight soul artists such as Marvin Gaye and Al Green. Nutini will headline on Saturday 11 August, featuring special guests, indie rockers the Guillemots and Scott Matthews. Other acts playing the festival are; Newton Faulkner, Ben Taylor, Angus & Julia Stone and The Noel Prior Band. Since its inception three years ago, the Unleashed Festival located at the scenic location of Watergate Bay, has been the place to see top International headliners including Feeder, James Blunt and Razorlight. This year’s music offering at the Rip Curl Boardmasters will be held over two sites in Newquay; Unleashed at Watergate Bay and Beach Sessions on Fistral Beach, and promises more music than ever before as over 35 bands, including Newton Faulkner, Ben Taylor, Angus & Julia Stone and The Noel Prior Band. A number of DJ’s have also been lined up to play at the week-long festival, now in it’s 26th year. Enter Shikari will kick-start the first night of music in the Foster’s Beach Bar for Beach Sessions on Monday 6th August.
