Matt Evans and Owen Hambly are used to tackling tricky situations on the pitch as members of the Cornish Pirates. But Thursday 27 July 2006 saw a completely different challenge for the two burly forwards. They had to quite literally get their kit off to unveil the new look rugby strip.

At 8am on Thursday morning Matt and Owen met up with two models as they prepared to have the new strip painted to their bodies. A few hours later the strip was launched in Penzance. Using the traditional colours of red, white and black for the home strip, and a touch of the Duchy's famous black and gold, the lads showed off this season's strip, in painted form. The unique launch certainly caught the attention of the media world, including BBC Cornwall's very own Amy Gladwell. They also supply equipment to fellow National League One sides London Welsh, Newbury, Doncaster, Waterloo and locally Redruth RFC.
