Charlestown Gig Rowers

Coode's Challenge

The Olympic Rower Ed Coode is joining the Charlestown gig rowing crew, along with fellow Commonwealth athlete Richard Dunn for the World Championships 2006.


Ed Coode has competed against many internationally renowned sportsmen in his time but he believes he's about to take on one of the biggest challenges of his life.

Ed and his fellow Commonwealth athlete Richard Dunn will be taking to the water on the Isles of Scilly at the end of April.

They will be joining a team of rowers from Charlestown for the World Championships.

It's thought to be the first time that professional sportsmen have entered the Championships which started in 1990.
