Kubb, formed around the astonishing vocal dexterity and songwriting of enigmatic frontman, Cornwall's Harry Collier. The band's debut album 'Mother' has climbed steadily up the charts. The anthemic and haunting single 'Grow' has also charted in the Top 40. On the back of this the band have announced another UK tour for April in association with SW1 Productions. Kubb - A brief history Harry was born in Liverpool, but he left for Tobago aged four where he began playing a variety of instruments with a youth music orchestra.

He returned to England as a teenager and settled in Cornwall where he was inspired to become a performer after watching a local theatre company. Many people in the county will remember Harry's gigs with Rootjoose, who also released an album and made the national charts with 'Cant' Keep Living This Way'. After the band broke up Harry moved to London. It was here that he had a chance meeting with Rollo, who was one of those behind Faithless and also Dido's brother. Rollo was celebrating a birthday meal at the café where Harry was working as a waiter, when Harry was asked to sing 'Happy Birthday,' Rollo promptly invited him to his studio. Harry started co-writing the songs for KUBB's debut album 'Mother' and began laying the foundations for the band. Through contacts and 'friends-of-friends', the four-piece was finalised with Dom, Adj and Tilley.

Kubb soon headed to the recording studio with Youth, the renowned Embrace producer. There was a magical connection as the band rocked through nine tracks in just seven days. The album 'Mother' has caused a major stir with the music critics and public alike. The title reflects Harry's thoughts on the 'divine feminine' in religion and the earth. 'Somebody Else' and 'Bitch' are bitter but glorious. More uplifting are 'I Don't Mind' and 'Wicked Soul'. A packed Watering Hole in Perranporth gave frontman Harry Collier, a hero's welcome home when the band played their first gig in Cornwall in January 2006. The welcome will be even bigger when the band take to the stage in April 2006 at Falmouth's Princess Pavilion.
