Pengersick Castle, near Praa Sands in west Cornwall is believed to be the most haunted castle in Britain.
There has been a building on this site for at more than 900 years. The oldest section that remains today dates from 1500.
In the past several strange things are reported to have happened at the castle, especially to electrical equipment. Visitors have reported that video cameras, phones and dictaphones have stopped working. Even items with brand new batteries have packed up instantly!
Tapping noises, radical temperature changes, and strange smells have all been reported by visitors to the castle over the years.
Experts believe there are more than 20 ghosts that haunt Pengersick Castle. The renowned Paranormal Site Investigators are hoping to find out just how haunted the building is in November 2005.
The group will be spending a night at the castle in the hope of spotting some spooky happenings.
|The PSI team are coming to Cornwall|
"This is a unique opportunity to get to the bottom of this fascinating case," says Dave Wood from the PSI. "We have long held that Cornwall is one of the country's most interesting counties from a paranormal perspective."
Earlier this year the team spent a time at Bodmin's old jail, another spooky building from Cornwall's past, and the members are looking forward to being overnight visitors to Pengersick Castle.
"We will be using our best team of trained investigators," explains Nicky Sewell from the PSI. "The team affects a healthy balance between sceptics and believers."
Among the spirits that have been spotted in the past at Pengersick include: A four year old boy who frequently tugs at clothing, a young girl who fell to her death from the battlements and now dances in the tower, and a ghostly cat and dog!
We'll let you know what the PSI discover later in November. In the meantime why not tell us your spooky stories...
