DJ
Atomic Dog takes clubbers through old skool Hip Hop &
Funk.
Originally
just a hip hop DJ, Dog went from listening and playing to
looking deeper into the music discovering amongst others
a passion for funk, jazz, soul and reggae!
He
cut his teeth playing out the kind of music that inspired
people like Africa Bambatta, Grandmaster Flash, Jazzy Jay
and Grand Wizard Theodore to a new audience.
He
can usually be found trying to educate his audience into
funk, breaks, old skool hip-hop and usually the odd obscure
rarity!
Most
likely to start a conversation by saying yeah that
snare drum was sampled by
or Is that maid
single?
In
2002 he helped to set up the 33 Throwdown Recordings record
label with Dren and Just Brian!
The
label continues to grow, putting out hip-hop; lesson style
cut n paste mixes and electro amongst others!
