For
years the World In Miniature has offered families the chance to
see the world in half a day.
Many
of the creations were originally made of wood. An on-going refurbishment
programme is replacing many of these with low maintenance, long
life fibre glass materials.

| Buckingham
Palace model is popular with the visitors |
The
creations may be smaller versions of the real thing but the attention
to detail is incredible. Expect to see windows and curtains, dinosaurs
with wrinkles and injuries.
The
models are set in winding gardens, there is one of the wonders of
the world around every corner. You never know what you will come
across next.

| Statue
Of Liberty stands proud over the attraction |
Along
your travels you can marvel at the Taj Mahal to the Statue of Liberty,
Leaning Tower of Pisa and many more - all in one day.
The
children spend most of their time travelling through the Jurassic
Park section.
A timbered
path leads you through a wild landscape with giant creatures of
our past lurking around every corner.

| A
Tanystropheus (means long and twisted) hunts for fish at The
World In Miniature |
By
each model is a board describing in a fun but educational way how
each dinosaur hunted for food and how they lived.
The
adults tend to enjoy seeing the world via a 180 degrees cinema screen.
Not only will you see San Francisco but you can also expect to travel
along cliff side roads in a runaway lorry and take on the twists
and turns of a rollercoaster. Hold on!

| The
Great Sphinx, a myythological creature |
A new
maze feature has been constructed which keeps visitors both intrigued
and entertained. Mazes, as visitor attractions, have grown in popularity
over the last few years.
The
World In Miniature has had some guidance from the owners of the
very popular maze located at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight.
The
maze has been built mainly from wood and has a viewing platform
so that those not daring to go into the maze can watch their friends
and family struggle to find their way round.
