The 2003 Fame Academy winner has raw talent. It wasn't just youth
and spiky hair which caught the imaginations of the judges and the
millions who voted for Alex, there was an emotional authority to
her singing which stood out. Now, a fully fledged pop star, she
has he own album to show for it.
'Introduction'
demonstrates all this emotion. Seven of the tracks have been co-written
by Alex including the first single 'Maybe That's What It Takes',
an anthemic piano ballad which showcases her haunting yet beautiful
voice.
Alex
says: "The original tracks on the album are all true to me, they
have honest lyrics that are personal to me."
Alongside
the new songs are some stunning covers, including Alex's hypnotic
version of the Tears For Fears classic 'Mad World'.
Alex
will commence work on her full studio album in the New Year. Her
future progress from Fame Academy is guaranteed to be compelling.
