Question from Nikita: I read you spent years recording memories of your mother, can you tell me more about this?

Rula_Lenska: My mother left six hours of audio tape of an interview about her pre-war memories of Poland, her time in a concentration camp, her rehabilitation and moving away. I have transcribed it but it's in the hands of a producer at the moment. There's a possibility of me going back and doing the journey myself. I very much hope that will come off.

Question from Toto: What was it like on stage in the Vagina Monologues?

Rula_Lenska: It's one of the most theatrical things I've been involved in, not only because of the subject matter, which is empowering and demystifying. The feeling of joy and relaxation and a real high at the end of a show, it feels like you've really achieved something.

Question from Timmy: What do you do to relax in your spare time?

Rula_Lenska: I read a lot, I watch Discovery, I walk, I photograph and my big passion is travel, particularly to exotic places like Nepal, Tibet, and Africa.

Question from Goldie: What do you think are your biggest achievements in life?

Rula_Lenska: My daughter, hopefully having brought entertainment, pleasure, to a broad band of people. Having made some sort of difference to the conservation world and having survived up until now I guess!

Question from Mildrew: Hi Rula, do you use the internet at home?

Rula_Lenska: I do search the internet but I've never been into chat rooms. I do a lot ofemailing but I'm not yet terribly good on the computer!

Question from Libby: Do you watch much TV at home? What shows do you enjoy?

Rula_Lenska: I watch the news; I don't watch much daytime TV. I watch films on the film channel, but I don't watch that much TV. There's not much good drama on TV at the moment.

Question from Kindred: Being a major UK celeb do you hang out with other celebrities?

Rula_Lenska: I have a lot of friends in the acting world, but I'm not a hugely social person anyway. My close mates are 50 people in the business and people who are not! When you're working in the theatre or TV you hang out with those people.

Question from Superstar: Where is your favourite place in the world?

Rula_Lenska: Oh, apart from home I would probably say either Nepal or Africa, certainly somewhere in the wild.

Question from Marion: Apparently hair colour determines our personality, red heads are not afraid to tell people what they think and have a fiery personality which earns you many secret admirers; they stand up for their beliefs and are generally a people person. Do you fit that description?

Rula_Lenska: I would say yes. Also, it takes a lot to rile me but when I lose my temper, I go!

Question from Neil Evans: Would you ever like to do a film with Tom Hanks in a big Hollywood movie?

Rula_Lenska: Yes please (laughs)! When I was younger, I had dreams of doing a Western. Now I would like to do something like The Bridges of Madison County, a really powerful role for a woman. In fact, I have a film in mind, a book I've just read, which I think would make a wonderful film!

Question from Carlos: What projects do you have in the pipeline?

Rula_Lenska: Apart from the Monologues, which starts at the end of next week, there's a TV series being talked about, another trip of Africa. We're never able to plan much ahead as work does come up at a moment's notice though.

Question from Marly: I read your father was involved in radio, can you tell me about that? Rula_Lenska: He was involved in Radio Free Europe, based in Munich. Before the iron curtain came down in Poland it broadcast everything, music, news etc. That's where I started doing radio, my sister and I used to translate English songs into Polish and we had our own rock show!

Question from Neil: I would like to do a bit of acting in the future do you have any advice for me?

Rula_Lenska: Firstly, you can't want to do a bit of acting, unless it's the only thing you want to do, don't bother. The best grounding is repertory theatre. It's a hard career to get into and there isn't as much work around now as when I started in the business. But good luck.

Question from Nick: Rula - have you worked with Joanna Lumley? You do seem so much alike!!

Rula_Lenska: I haven't worked with her but I know her very well and admire her hugely. She's a good friend and she's also passionate about wildlife!

BBC Host: Thank you Rula, do you have a final word for all the people who have logged on today? Rula_Lenska: Be happy!
