From Jim: Do you agree that the Premiership is actually a mediocre league, with three good teams and the rest pretty poor?

Mark Lawrenson: No, it's not mediocre. As much as anything, it's due to some of the quality of the foreign players. Not the best technically, yet. We've come a long way in terms of quality though.

From Ndineen: If you could build the perfect centre-forward whose head, left foot and right foot would you need?

Mark Lawrenson: Maradonna's left foot, Beckham's right foot... Shearer, good in the air or Dalglish for the brain.

From Timmy C: Have Man Utd and Liverpool duffed it already. Can anyone stop Arsenal?

Mark Lawrenson: I wouldn't say they've duffed it, but Arsenal are so strong. Arsenal are clear favourites but it's massively early days.

From Davey Jones: Do you think Berti Vogts will remain in his post on their current form?

Mark Lawrenson: The knives are out for him in Scotland but they've got no players. I think he'll be fine. Some do come as a surprise. Nobody really gets sacked until about November.

From Sadie: Hi Mark!- is there a team you wished you had played for?

Mark Lawrenson: Yeah, I would say Real Madrid. Absolutely fantastic. They've got this awe about them. I would have loved to play for them, and the money wouldn't have been bad either!

BBC Host: That is all we have time for. Here's Mark Lawrenson with a final word...

Mark Lawrenson: I hope I answered your questions alright and sorry I was late!
