Question from Freestyle: What was the best value for money location you have been so far?
Kate Humble: I should think the Magic Fountains because it was free and was pretty fantastic.
Question from Hellraiser: What is it like working as a TV presenter?
Kate Humble: It's terribly glamorous and well paid! It's enormous fun and you get to do some great things but it is incredibly hard work.
Question from Kathryn: If you could go to any place to do any activity what and where would it be?
Kate Humble: Back to Timbuktu and I would go and find my camel, Duncan, and I'd ride across the Sahara.
Question from Sean: Where's the worst place you have been?
Kate Humble: San Antonio in Ibiza. I can't understand why anyone would want to go
abroad and it be just like England.
Question from Nik Goodman: We all know about waiters abroad!!! Have you ever had any amorous advances from waiters whilst filming?
Kate Humble: Sadly no. Obviously I don't have the bottom for it!
Question from Jason: Have you ever been to the Far East, and if so, how did you like it?
Kate Humble: No I have never been, but I would love to.
Question from Hellraiser: What program was the best fun to work on?
Kate Humble: Probably Rough Science. We did a series a couple of years ago and
we've just finished the second series.
Question from Spinal Tap: What is the most uncomfortable place you have slept?
Kate Humble: A train station in Northern Spain. I slept on the floor of the train
station as I didn't have any money. The police would come around and kick you awake with
their boots at 5 in the morning!
Question from Karen Brown: Is there one aspect of travelling that you really
dislike?
Kate Humble: Waiting around in airports. Anything to do with airports and the flying bit.
Question from Grant: Where in the world would you like to visit - money no
object?!
Kate Humble: Antarctica. Because it's one of the few wildernesses left in the world, it's incredibly difficult to get to and from what I've read about it, it sounds like one of the most beautiful places in the world. It's such an alien environment and I would love to see how I can cope with it.
Question from Stephen Grey: What was your favourite car to drive whilst working for Top Gear?
Kate Humble: My favourite would be a toss up between the Porsche Boxer and a
converted 2CV which a mad man had made a 4-wheel drive which I had to drive over a 4-wheel drive track. That was probably the best legal fun you can have.
Question from Richard: When you were a kid, what did you dream that you wanted to be when you grew up?
Kate Humble: I had three big dreams. Either be in a circus, be a gypsy or a red Indian. They all involved horses and travelling.
Question from Hellraiser: Do you like working with Jamie Theakston? If you do why?
Kate Humble: Yes because he's great fun and he has a very beautiful coat which he
leant me when it got cold at 2am for which I will be forever grateful!
