Question from Snapdharlich: Why do you think Kat and Alfie work so well together?

Jessie Wallace: The characters fit really well together. They're very similar, even in the way they dress. They connect as characters. Also we work well together as actors.

Question from jude: If your life story was made into a film, who would you want to play you?

Jessie Wallace: Well Jude, Joan Collins could play me! Emily Lloyd definitely. I'd like her to play me. I doubt that she'd want to.

Question from AndrewS: Do you like any of Kat's clothes and would you wear them?

Jessie Wallace: I love Kat's clothes. I pick them out mostly, the more leopard-skin the better. In fact, the ear-rings are getting bigger!

Question from akfan: What is your favourite film at the moment?

Jessie Wallace: My favourite film of the moment is probably Little Voice, I love that film. My favourite all time film is Wizard of Oz and It's A Wonderful Life.

Question from Abi: What do you prefer playing, drunk or serious Kat?

Jessie Wallace: Well Abi, I like playing both. I don't know if I pull off the drunk bit convincingly enough but I try. I think it was Charlie Chaplin who said the best way to act drunk is to play a drunk trying to behave sober.

Question from Mya, Essex; Rachel, Dublin: Do you think Kat and Alfie will last together once they are together, or will it just be a repeat of Kat and Anthony? Once she finally had him, she realised she didn't want him!

Jessie Wallace: Anthony is actually leaving soon. The Kat and Alfie thing isn't a smooth ride, it's a rocky road.

Question from hindzey: What r your interests?

Jessie Wallace: Well, I like reading a lot, I renovate old furniture and paint a lot. I also like being with my dogs.

Question from susan1: If you starred in a film, who would be your leading man?

Jessie Wallace: Susan, I think it would be Jamie Dravern, I love him. He played Billy Elliot's brother in the film.

Question from Ruth: If you could be invisible for the day where would you go and why?

Jessie Wallace: That's a really good one. I'd probably go to the Royal Mint!

Question from Mahoney: Before you joined EastEnders, who was your favourite character in it?

Jessie Wallace: My favourite character has always been Dot Cotton.

Question from janisjoplin: Were you naughty as a child?

Jessie Wallace: Yeah, just like any other child.

Question from colin: Would you like Kat to get married and settle down, or would that be too boring?

Jessie Wallace: Hi Colin. I don't think it would be good for Kat. To be married and still be the way she is then yeah, but I can't imagine her settling down. It would be good to have a Den and Angie relationship - with still the humour.

Question from georgie harris: Is the Slater family anything like your own?

Jessie Wallace: Hello. No they're not at all. I do know a few families like that around the East End but my family aren't anything like that.

Question from 444444: What is ur favourite tv programme apart from EastEnders?

Jessie Wallace: Most Haunted! I love that. I love things like that. They're doing a live one soon and I want to find out where it'll be as I'd love to go down there.

Question from Neal: Where are you from originally?

Jessie Wallace: North London originally. I moved to Essex when I was about 16 and now I live in East London.

Question from kam1: How about a singing career?

Jessie Wallace: Hi Kam1. Who knows!! I'd like to try musical theatre but not a musical future. I'd lose a lot of fans, put it that way!

Question from looby lou: Is there any famous figure that you would like to play?

Jessie Wallace: I'd like to play Gypsy Rose Lee. It'd be great if they brought it to the West End. Or Nancy in Oliver... there's loads.

Question from Sam, Wales: Do you ever get star struck?

Jessie Wallace: Hi Sam. Yeah I do. I went to Liza Minelli's party a little while ago... I was star-struck that night.

Question from Roxanne: What is the best thing about acting out Kat Slater in EastEnders?

Jessie Wallace: Roxanne, the best thing is being able to shout my mouth off in the street and tot around in mini skirts! It's a bit of escapism really. I get great lines too. I'm glad my character isn't humdrum.

Question from Sylphia: Hiya! Would you go on stage in a theatre?

Jessie Wallace: I'd love to do theatre. I was lucky enough to leave drama school and go straight into EE, I'd never done theatre. I'd love to get the opportunity to do it.

Question from Gillian: What's your favourite food?

Jessie Wallace: Gillian, everything. I'm not fussy, I love food.

Question from Rie: Do you ever watch EastEnders and feel critical about your performance?

Jessie Wallace: I do watch EE and I like to watch myself to see if I'm going wrong anywhere. I am my own worst critic.

Question from Steph: What attracted you to joining EastEnders?

Jessie Wallace: I was just lucky that they were auditioning for EE and I went along for the workshop. Who wouldn't want to be in the show, it's great.

Question from Barrie: How would you describe yourself in three words?

Jessie Wallace: Hi. Scatty, irresponsible and thoughtful...

Question from Marie: What is your favourite thing to do after a long day at EE?

Jessie Wallace: Hello Marie. To get home, put my feet up and relax.

iPresenter Nikki: I’m really sorry but that really is the last question, we’ve run out of time. My laptop is closed! OK Jessie, wipe away the tears. It’s been great having you here. Jessie, is there anything you’d like to say as a final word to all the people of the world who’ve tuned in.

Jessie Wallace: Thank you everyone for your questions. I really enjoyed it. Have a lovely evening.

iPresenter Nikki: Thanks Jessie, very nice. Well Jessie may be finished but that’s by no means it from BBCi, you can visit the EastEnders site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to keep up with the storylines, find out about characters and the people that play them. That's all folks!
