Tykaz: Do you like the way your character's changing in EastEnders?
James: Yeah, he's started to get nice up to this point, he's started to become a bit grounded. I think there's plenty of change left to come. I'd like him to be less of a mummy's boy but I'm sure there'll always be a bit of a rebel in him.

Sophie: Is your mum anything like Pauline?
James: No, not really. She tells me off, as all mums do, but not particularly. I would be frightened if she was! I don't think I could cope with a mum like Pauline, I'd have to run away I think.

Tammy: Do you get noticed a lot when you're out?
James: Yes, a fair bit. It's not too crazy. You get a few people coming up and talking about stories, so you know they're watching which is a good thing.

Hannah: How long would you like to stay in EastEnders?
James: I haven't got a set date in my mind. I don't want to be there forever but as long as I'm enjoying it, I'm staying!

Amber: How do you feel about being the first baby born on EastEnders?
James: It wasn't me! I took over in 1996. But it's a legacy. I never met the person who played the original Martin, I'd like too though.

Sparky: Are you into computer games, if so what ones?
James: Yeah, I've got a Playstation 2 and my brother has got an X-Box. I've been playing Grand Theft Auto.

Sam: What was it like filming the last scenes with Jack Ryder?
James: The last scenes are in the hospital, and I only had a couple. Jack was laying there and suddenly started singing and that, so we had a bit of a laugh with it all, so it wasn't too traumatic. To a certain extent, you take it home with you. You try and connect with feelings so you're going to get the continuing feeling when you get home. You have to learn to snap out of it.

Lon: What are your favourite television shows?
James: I don't get to watch much TV! I like The Simpsons, The Office, The Sopranos - they're really good.

Dazza: When you're acting a long scene, is it hard to remember your lines?
James: It was in the beginning but you get in the routine of it. Once you click with doing it, it becomes a lot easier. It just happens now, it's not too difficult.

Albert Square: Who's been the biggest influence on you in the EastEnders cast, and who are your biggest friends?
James: I work with the Fowlers mostly, so Wendy Richard always looks after me and Todd Carty, they're my main influences. Apart from the cast, my mum and dad have always kept me grounded. My family, more than the cast really.

James: Keep on watching, there's really great episodes coming up. Don't eat too much turkey and watch EastEnders!
