Collins: Which footy team do your support? Newcastle United?
James: No! It's Arsenal of course. I've watched them a few times, I haven't been lately though. I do catch them on the telly.

Charlie: What's it like to be thought of as a sex symbol?
James: I don't know, I don't really think of it like that. It's a compliment I suppose. It's weird seeing pictures of yourself. I don't think I'm very photogenic, so most of the time I think I look horrible!

Cheeble: How many hours do you have to work every week? Do you get time to go out with your mates?
James: It can be hard sometimes. It depends on storylines though, as it varies. I've been working hard lately, it could be from 8am to 8pm. Other times it could only be a couple of hours though!

Sian: What will you be doing on New Year's Eve?
James: Us youth are going to go out together somewhere I think. Someone to kiss at New Year's would be nice!

Sophie: Has your life changed since you became a TV star?
James: It's different for me because I was 11 when I started so it's hard to think of it any other way now. I don't think you change, I think people around you change. I suppose you'd have to ask my friends and family about that one!

Rosie: Is it hard to kiss in front of a camera?
James: It is the first time. It's a new experience and it's quite funny to do. There's nothing romantic about it as you've got another 40 people looking at you. It's a bit weird but it's part of the job I suppose.

Amie: What do you think of Martin Fowler, and do you think he's behaving like a normal boy his age?
James: I think he's behaving like a lot of boys of his age, I don't know about a normal boy! He's been a bit reckless but I don't think he's a bad boy, he's got a good heart really. A bit like Mark, who turned out okay in the end. He's easily led and he tries to impress people, and usually gets it wrong. I hope I'm not like that...

Pruneypie: What car do you drive in real life?
James: It's a little Fiesta, nothing too fast. I got it when I passed my test.

Pete: What are you getting for Christmas?
James: I've asked for loads of DVDs - The Office and The Sopranos. Maybe something to play them on too! I like the portable DVD players. Nothing really major.

Charlotte: How did you get the part of Martin in EastEnders?
James: I went to theatre school and they've got an agency attached to them. I went to plenty of auditions and one day this one popped up. I got recalled to the studios and did a read through with Todd Carty. That was it really. It was on the last day of primary school that I found out. I got called to the headmaster's office. My mum was there and she was crying, then she turned around and said I'd got the part. I was over the moon.

Laragreg2002: What do you think the reaction of the public will be to Martin running over Jamie? Are you worried you might get hate mail?
James: A little bit worried. To a certain extent you have to expect some backlash. Then again, if you carry on watching, you will find that it's played quite sympathetically to Martin and maybe that will help.

Sexysian: Will you still see Jamie outside of EastEnders?
James: I'm sure I will. I haven't seen him as yet. I've seen his haircut on the TV so I'd like to speak to him about that one! We'll have to wait and see.

Claire: If you could star in a film what type of film would it be?
James: I've been watching James Bond, that would be interesting. Something like that or a really gritty drama.

Majo: If you didn't play Martin, which other character would you like to be? James: That's a question! Phil Mitchell would be a good one, get to menace people. Then again, you've got Jim Branning and he's a funny guy. You've got Kat who has a lot of fun and shouts her mouth off, that would be interesting. I'd pick bits of lots of characters and make it into one.
