This event took place Saturday 30th June 2001
Frankie Muniz
Frankie Muniz from the hit sitcom on BBC2 Malcolm in the Middle joined L&K for live chat.

Question from Webcatcher: How old were you when you started to like drama?

Frankie: I was eight. I saw my sister doing a play so I tried it and here I am now!

Question from Dane: How long have you been acting?

Frankie: Since I was 8.

Question from Faykids: Did you take any acting classes or go to performing arts school?

Frankie: No, I've never taken a class or gone to a school. I've always been very natural and I think that's the best way to be.

Question from Josh: How old were you when you got the part on Malcolm in the Middle?

Frankie: I was 13.

Question from Brillig: How do you fit in the time to go to school as well as filming Malcolm in the Middle?

Frankie: I'm home schooled and I have a tutor who travels all over with me. I still get a report card and do tests.

Question from Tap Dancer: What's it like to be the main character and act as the smartest child in the house?

Frankie: It's awesome! I've always wanted to be on a TV show! I just love acting, you see.

Question from Mark: Would you like a family like the one you have got in Malcolm in the Middle, or have you already got one?

Frankie: I think it'd be fun! They do so much crazy stuff.

Question from Yaz: Are you really a genius?

Frankie: Not a genius, but I've always had straight A's!

Question from Mo: How old is Malcolm in the TV show?

Frankie: Malcolm doesn't have a set age, only cos I' ve grown a foot and my voice has broken! I'm growing non-stop. I think he was supposed to be nine in the beginning.

Question from Poppy: Who is your favourite character in Malcolm in the Middle?

Frankie: Dewey - cos he's so - Dewey!

Question from AJIMAC: What methods do you use to learn your scripts?

Frankie: People say I have a photographic memory! I read through it a couple of times and pretty much know the lines.

Question from London Beat: Frankie, who is your favourite member of the cast of Malcolm In The Middle to work with?

Frankie: My favourite is Chris who plays Francis. He's really cool and fun to hang out with.

Question from Andy: Who would you most like to have as a brother in real life? - Francis, Reese or Dewey?

Frankie: Probably Dewey. Cos he's easy to beat up on but he's really cool!

Question from Chocice: Have you had any funny, but extremely embarrassing experiences with your own family?

Frankie: My mom travels everywhere with me and she's really cool but sometimes she embarrasses me.

Question from Disco diva: What has been your most embarrassing moment on set?

Frankie: I had to do a kissing scene with an 18 year old girl and there was about 80 people watching! It was to be crazy and wild and I was scared to do it but it turned out cool in the end.
