Programme Quick Checklist

There are a number of key documents, forms and items you need to supply throughout the production process. The list below should help you check that they have all been completed. Details about each one can be found elsewhere on the site (mostly in the Business and Production Guide and the Delivery section). You can also search for them by name.

Prior to commission

  • Programme Production Agreement
  • Commissioning Specification
  • Progress Reports – on dates as set out in your Commissioning Specification
  • Health and Safety Questionnaire (to be completed when first doing business with the BBC and then every 3 years
  • Relevant Insurance 

Prior to tape delivery

  • Laboratory Access (only applicable if your programme has been shot on film) – Scan/fax of signed letter required at approval of Rough Cut Stage via email.
  • Facilities House Letter – Scan/fax of signed letter required at approval of Rough Cut Stage via email.
  • Television Billing Form - Billings should be pre approved with your BBC Commissioning Executive - By published billing due dates via P4A or as directed by your Programme Delivery Co-ordinator for independent Programmes
  • Publicity information/stills/DVDs – to be submitted on the relevant date prior to delivery
  • Programme clips - video file, Short Form Content Compliance Form, metadata form
  • Programme material for trails 

On delivery date

  • Compliance form
  • Transmission form
  • Post Production Script   

After transmission

  • Programme as Completed Form – within two weeks of transmission
  • Music Reporting Form – within two weeks of transmission On-screen
  • Portrayal Form – within two weeks of transmission
  • Schedule of Residuals (required for all programmes)
  • I&RP Ofcom Compliance Forms (Independent and Regional Production Confirmation (required for all programmes) 
  • Safeguarding Trust Certificates for all members of Production Personnel (as listed in the Rough Cut Progress Report) for the required training modules (as specified in section 7 of your Commissioning Specification) via email (preferably a zip file)
