Why can I see new problems with my programme in the new design?

The new design can highlight a number of issues that were masked by the old design. These generally originate from the information that is extracted from the billings information for episodes originally submitted by the production teams or the images that accompany the episodes. Both can be amended.

There are errors in my episode guide

If the episode descriptions or episode numbers are wrong then it's because the billings information is incorrect. To correct them resubmit your P4A or billings email in the way you would usually.

That’s not the right description for my episodes

This information was submitted with the billings by the production team. To amend them resubmit P4A or billings email in the usual way.

The episodes are in the wrong order

This information was taken from the billings submitted by the production team. If programmes are appearing the wrong order resubmit P4A or billings email in the usual way, making sure you say which order they should be in.

There are missing episodes

Submit the billings information for missing episodes via P4A or the billings email.

Can I change my episode pictures?

Yes you can. Send replacement images to iPlayer Picture Editors. Pictures need to be complied by the programme exec before you send them and will be replaced by the iPlayer Picture Editors in accordance to the iPlayer picture guidelines.

All the episode pictures look the same

This is because there is only one image available for the whole series. If you want a different picture for each episode, send replacement images to iPlayer Picture Editors. Pictures need to be complied by the programme exec before you send them and will be replaced by the iPlayer Picture Editors in accordance to the iPlayer picture guidelines.

I don’t like my homepage picture

The homepage automatically serves up the latest episode image. As before if you want to change images or add new ones to episodes, send replacement images to iPlayer Picture Editors. Pictures need to be complied by the programme exec before you send them and will be replaced by the iPlayer Picture Editors in accordance to the iPlayer picture guidelines.
You can't choose one picture and stick to it. The trick here is to think about making sure that you've got good pictures for your programme.  To Picture Publicity / iPlayer picture editors - if you can only supply a few pictures - maybe for brand and each series - then make sure they're really strong, and illustrative of your programme.

Why hasn't that episode got a picture?

If an episode image has been replaced by a channel image it is because there currently isn’t an image for that episode. Send an image for that episode to iPlayer Picture Editors. Pictures need to be complied by the programme exec before you send them and will be replaced by the iPlayer Picture Editors in accordance to the iPlayer picture guidelines.

Where did those recommendations come from?

The 'recommendations: you might also like...' work? Feature uses genre and subgenre info, which comes from P4A and is construed from the billings info. See the list of genres used.
For a full explanation of how it works please go to the FAQ page.

If you think the recommendations are unrepresentative of your programmes you can tune the genres and sub-genres that it's classified by. Resbumit P4A and the recommendations will change.
