The next stage in the roll out of Vision's online strategy for programme support will be refreshing the design of the programme pages.

In addition to all the current functionality of /programmes, the new pages will deliver:

  • Greater visual impact
  • Better ability to promote supporting content
  • A 'series & episodes guide' view, enabling users to easily browse all series and episodes. Example: Angry Boys
  • A more coherent relationship with iPlayer and better handling of programme availability (including subtitled & audio described programmes)
  •  A navigation bar, enabling users to more easily navigate their way around the programme content
  • Amazon-style 'You might also like...' recommendation
  • An easy mechanism for adding high-impact branding for priority programmes.
  • Share tools, enabling the easy sharing of links and embedding of clips in social networks (Facebook, Twitter etc.)
  • The /clips page - a way for users to far better find all your clips. Example: Hairy Bikers' Meals on Wheels
  • Publishing tools will be rolled out  later in the year, that will enable users to make and order their own produce picture galleries of photos and promotional badges.

For programme makers - the process of migration will be managed by a central migration team.
