Welcome to the new BBC Commissioning website

Jane McCloskey

The new site brings our TV, radio and online commissioning requirements together for the first time through a single portal.

You’ll find all the latest commissioning opportunities for all platforms and the most recent channel strategies. You’ll also have all the business, compliance and delivery information you need as a content provider to the BBC. We’ve improved the navigation to key documents and have included links to our editorial guidelines website, compliance forms and the e-commissioning system so it’s a real one stop shop. Whether you’re looking for a guide to the commissioning requirements for BBC1, information about how the BBC is structured or how to engage with BBC radio offers rounds you’ll find these pages packed with information. If you need to check our technical delivery requirements, get full details of our branding guidelines or even get information about pronunciations, you’ll find useful data within this site.

Over the coming months we’ll also be offering regular updates on things that matter to you. We’ll bring you any news relating to compliance changes, regular refreshers regarding our content strategy, dates for your diary regarding our TV, radio and online briefings and the chance to hear directly from some of our key players through blogs, content clips and interviews. You’ll get a chance to hear from the senior commissioning team across our three main divisions and the opportunity to understand more about key projects such as our partnership with the Cultural Diversity Network. You can keep up-to-date with the news section and get the latest news items as they are published by adding the BBC Commissioning site to your browser’s RSS feed via the orange RSS icon on the home-page.

This new site aims to be a really useful and informative enabling tool to help you deliver the best possible content. The site will expand and develop over the months ahead and as ever we’re keen to get your feedback.

Jane McCloskey,
Head of Supplier Management
