The new Buyer’s Guide service has now gone live on bbc.co.uk/programmes. Now called Commercial Availability, it provides onward links to a number of retailers where our audience can purchase BBC TV and Radio programmes in a variety of formats i.e. DVD, Blu-ray, CD.
It is provided on a public service basis, in line with our Commercial User Journey (CUJ) permissions from BBC Trust and helps deliver the archive strategy ambition of continuous availability of BBC programmes.
There are around 400 products (DVD & Blu-ray) from nearly 70 programme brands. This number will grow as we continue to expose more products in line with the upcoming TV schedule and expand into additional format types.
