We are inviting proposals for ‘BBC Radio 1 Stories’ and ‘BBC Radio 1Xtra Stories’ programmes to be broadcast on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra in 2013.
The programme slots available for ‘Stories’ proposals are:
BBC Radio 1Xtra Stories: 60 mins. Sundays 2100-2200
BBC Radio 1 Stories: 60 mins. Mondays 2100-2200
There are approximately thirty slots available for Radio 1 and thirty for Radio 1Xtra in this Commissioning Round. We will also look to commission a further 10 for each network on a rolling basis.
Commissioned programmes will air from January 2013 onwards. We particularly need Radio 1Xtra Stories for Jan-March 2013 – so highlight in your pitch if you can deliver early.
We invite applications from all Independent Production companies who can clearly demonstrate relevant experience and expertise in order to continue the high level of production quality offered by these slots.
To submit, you will need to be part of the A&M Independent Production Company Database.
The brief in the downloads section of this page (on the right hand side) lays out the detail of what is required in the tender, how the process will be managed and the timetable for doing so.
Proposals should be submitted in Proteus using the specific Programme Information detailed in the commissioning brief - please make sure you submit it in the right place.
