The BBC Knowledge and Learning Product is a web service that offers users the opportunity to collect, find out more, and reflect upon the things that have caught their attention from BBC output and the real world. Audiences will have three main conceptual touch points: Events, People and Place pages.
The BBC wishes to commission a concept and design framework for an ongoing history game that has distinct, identifiable learning outcomes and fits into the playful and engaging character of the product.
Vitally, the game concept and core mechanics should be able to support a broad range of content (e.g. - Marie Curie discovering radioactivity, Cortez attacking the Aztecs, the Moon landing, the battle of Gallipoli) and allow the BBC to quickly and cost-efficiently extend the game editorially.
You can find out more about the brief, and details on where and who to respond to in the download 'BBC Knowledge and Learning - History Game Project brief' top right of this page, and also available on the Learning Commissioning page.
