The Digital Production Partnership (DPP) has today unveiled a major industry report, "The Bloodless Revolution: A Guide to Smoother Digital Workflows in Television." Issued on behalf of ITV, Channel Four and the BBC, it seeks to help producers and suppliers achieve a smoother transition to fully digital production.
BBC Radio 3 are retendering the Late Evening Jazz Performance Strand, which is currently broadcast on Monday nights, for transmissions from September 2012. This strand forms part of the WOCC and is open to all suppliers, internal and external, who can produce a weekly Jazz strand.
The BBC is introducing a new digital production desktop environment and archive called Fabric. It comprises a set of tools to support an end-to-end digital workflow. The next stage is migrating the BBC Archive catalogue - Infax - across to Fabric. Consequently, the archive will closed during the cutover period 8 - 17 June.
