BBC Radio has launched the Northern Development Fund for 2011/2012. The fund will be looking to commission programme ideas to be broadcast on 5 live as well as Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4 and 6Music.
BBC Radio 5 live proposes to commission coverage of Formula One motor racing for the 2012 and 2013 seasons and at least three one-off programme ideas to run at various points over the Christmas and New Year.

In November 2010 we explained that we were making changes to the way BBC Online would work with external suppliers, to make our processes simpler and more transparent. Today, I am pleased to give an update on our progress towards this goal.
On the 8th September 2011 the second Radio 3 commissioning round opened for Sunday Feature, Music Feature, Between the Ears, The Essay and Specials on Radio 3 for financial year 2012/13. Find out more about the opportunities along with the necessary process and guidelines for submissions.
