Commissioning

We are always looking to encourage further working relationships with suppliers in the new media industry by:

• Tendering new commissions from independent suppliers; and
• Enabling suppliers in the new media industry to pitch unsolicited proposals.

Statement of Online Operations (2006)

The BBC operates its commissioning activities under an external quota for bbc.co.uk. This means that at least 25% of eligible spend is spent with external suppliers. The BBC publishes a Statement of Online Operation (2006) (MS Word format), explaining how the quota for bbc.co.uk works.
