Comedy Shuffle: Thurs 15 NovThe host: Mark Watson Massively multitalented pseudowelshman Mark Watson has completed two marathon Edinburgh shows of stand-up comedy lasting for 24 and 33 hours each, garnered much praise for his act I'm Worried I'm Starting To Hate Almost Everyone In The World, written a novel, and now! Now he's kicked off the new series of Comedy Shuffle. Studio guests Pappy's Fun Club Pappy's Fun Club is a comedy team made up of Ben Clark, Brendan Dodds, Matthew Crosby and Tom Parry. Through a string of live appearances across London, they began to build a small cult following and so, in 2006, the team took an hour of Fun to Edinburgh. 2007 has been an incredible year for Pappy's. They have performed in comedy venues across the UK; have been heard on Radio 4's 28 Acts in 28 Minutes; been nominated as Chortle's Best Newcomer; begun work on their own self titled pilot for Radio 4; and, at the Edinburgh Festival, received a string of fantastic reviews and a nomination for the If.Comedy Award (formerly the Perrier) for Best Show. Tom Basden Tom Basden, one quarter of the acclaimed sketch show Cowards (Radio 4, BBC THREE) presented his first solo show at this years Edinburgh festival 'Tom Basden Won't Say Anything' which won him the If. Comedy Best Newcomer award. Tom's songs cover such wildly varying subjects as ghosts, Chris Tarrant, glass eyes, suicide, ventriloquism, hypochondria, Iraq, love and 60 second documentaries about swimming the channel and ducks. The Cowards on bbc.co.uk/bbcthree Simon Brodkin Simon Brodkin is one of the country's most exciting new comedians, with a huge talent for creating and portraying an array of instantly recognisable and hilarious characters. His characters include; Lee 'Nelsy' Nelson, Billy Moffit and Jason Bent.
