That Mitchell and Webb Sound

The third series of That Mitchell and Webb Sound is currently being broadcast on Radio 4. You can listen to it by clicking on the link on the top right.

Before they had a look, they had a sound. It was so good, even The Daily Telegraph called it "the funniest show in ages". And everyone saw that it was good.

Starting in 2003, That Mitchell and Webb Sound boasted many of the peculiar characters now hitting television screens, as well as the occasional talking animal and stray presenter of a Radio 4 arts programme.

But it wasn't until the second series in 2005 that the show really hit its stride, combining the fan following gained by series one with a Sony Silver Award-winning array of sketches.

Snooker commentators Peter and Ted, crime-fighting duo Angel Summoner and BMX Bandit, and the incredibly posh, obnoxious person who is still unaccountably a waiter all had a part.

Both series featured regular co-stars James Bachman, Olivia Colman and Paterson Joseph.
