Noel Fielding

Noel Fielding

Born in Westminster in 1973, Noel Fielding's career has prospered as a stand-up comic, in a double act and as a beguilingly offbeat character actor.

He and Julian Baratt won Perrier Best Newcomer for their Edinburgh show The Mighty Boosh and were nominated for the main prize a year later.

In 2002 his solo show Voodoo Hedgehog was also Perrier nominated and in 2003 he won the Time Out Award for outstanding comedy achievement.

Fielding is a talented artist with a great interest in music and the influence of both is clearly discernable in his work.

With his slightly gothic aspect, gently cadaverous visage and skeletal build, he managed to make a vampire loveable in The IT Crowd and also appeared in Garth Merenghi's Darkplace and Nathan Barley.

He has appeared as himself on Never Mind The Buzzcocks, The Charlotte Church Show and The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year.
