Persian Chats

[an error occurred while processing this directive] [an error occurred while processing this directive] 2005

Anglo-Iranian stand-up Omid Djalili was a guest on BBC Scotland on Sunday.

Talking to Edi Stark on her chat show Stark Talk, he spoke about his comedy, his family's persecution in Iran, his love of belly-dancing and a self-confessed 'cheesy' story about how he met his wife as a child.

He was born in Britain to Iranian refugees and has become an established comic, earning a Perrier nomination as well as acting jobs alongside Brad Pitt, Robert Redford and Whoopi Goldberg.

If you don't live north of the border - of if you do and missed it - you can hear the full interview on BBC Scotland's Listen Again service.
