A new series of Comedy Connections, the documentary series about the before, during and after story of our favourite comedy shows, is planned for late February.
Here's a run down of the shows covered in this coming run:
MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING CIRCUS This will feature new interviews with John Cleese, Michael Palin, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, Carol Cleveland, John Howard Davies and Sir Paul Fox.
SPITTING IMAGE Has interviews with John Lloyd, Martin Lambie-Nairn, Geoffrey Perkins, Charles Denton, Harry Enfield, Ian Hislop, Nick Newman, Alistair McGowan, John O'Farrell, Louise Gold, Pete Sinclair, Bill Dare. Also looks at some of the most famous puppets of the series' 12 year run.
THREE OF A KIND Features Lenny Henry, David Copperfield, Paul Jackson, Geoff Posner, Kim Fuller, Bob Sinfield, Nick Revell as well as clips from a 1998 interview with Tracey Ullman. Also features an exclusive clip from never-aired BBC pilot 'Six Of A Kind', featuring Lenny Henry, David Copperfield, Don Mclean, Karen Kay, Pearly Gates, Leah Bell.
HARRY ENFIELD'S TELEVISION PROGRAMME Interviewees are Harry Enfield, Paul Whitehouse, Kathy Burke, Charlie Higson, Geoffrey Perkins, Ian Hislop, Nick Newman, Geoff Posner, Dave Cummings. Features clip from Harry Enfield's first TV appearance as one half of comedy duo Dusty and Dick.
GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME Interviewees are Meera Syal, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Kulvinder Ghir, Nina Wadia, Sharat Sardana, Nick Wood, Anil Gupta, Dave Lamb, Jon Plowman. Explores how the writers and performers pushed for the opportunity to write a one-off show which they performed live for the BBC comedy commissioners.
NOT THE NINE O'CLOCK NEWS Features Griff Rhys Jones, Mel Smith, John Lloyd, Sean Hardie, John Howard Davies, Victoria Pile, Kim Fuller, Colin Bostock-Smith. Tells the story of how they made a first episode which never aired because of the 1979 general election.
A BIT OF FRY AND LAURIE Interviewees are Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Jon Plowman, Roger Ordish, Nick Symons, Jon Canter, Bob Spiers.
THE TWO RONNIES Ronnie Corbett, Michael Hurll, Jimmy Gilbert, David Renwick, Jo Tewson, Barry Cryer, Terry Hughes, Peter Vincent, Ian Davidson (plus an archive interview with Ronnie Barker).
