BBC THREE has officially unveiled the new comedies in its winter line-up.
BBC THREE has today unveiled its new winter schedule, including a number of comedy treats.
Most hotly anticipated is probably Johnny Vegas's new sitcom Ideal, in which he plays a small-time drug dealer.
It's the first show from the comedy unit the BBC set up in Manchester to develop talent from the North-West.
In another move to encourage new talent, The Last Laugh is a new project which sees top comedy writers create new sitcoms but leave the scripts unfinished.
It will then be down to viewers to finish them, with a possible BBC THREE pilot for the best.
The programme follows a similar idea for short stories, called End Of Story, which attracted 17,380 entries.
The Last Laugh will kick off with a launch programme this winter, with a results series in the autumn.
Another new show, from Cyderdelic's Marc Wooton remains under wraps, with a BBC THREE spokesman saying: "Details still can't be released, but early sightings report a character-based tour de force that's equal parts comedy and audacity."
In another new show a number of comedians will be taking providing their commentary on the week's news in a fast-paced topical show called 7 Days.
Acclaimed animated comedy Monkey Dust is back for a third series, while Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps is also returning for a fifth - and final - run.
