I lived in Melbourne for 10 years. Kath and Kim really reminds me of the time I had there. I've missed a few so got the DVD
A real comedy for a change.
Chantelle Cane

I absoluetley love this sitcom! watched it first on living TV and then searched the net fro the DVD and bought all 3 series and everytime i watch them i always find something new that really cracks me up,i really hope they do a 4th series as i need to feed my addiction for it!
Mike
It's pure genius. The best thing on TV since the The Office.
Dave
Im and ex-pat Oz in the UK.
I left Australia just after the 2nd series finished and expected not to see it again until I returned. Now all I want in life is to see the 3rd series on the BBC. Good on ya BBC, its brill that you are showing it.
Another great OZ commedy is CNNNN, but to see that over here would be asking toooo much
Heather
I saw the show for the first time last night and thought it was great! I never thought Alan Partridge could be topped..well equalled at least. Fantastic!
Heather

The way they talk is funny (could you imagine a British sitcom savaging the Birmingham accent?) but nothing they really say or do is. I'll watch it again, but it wasn't a patch on some of the BBC stuff like Little Britain.

"it's just tooo funnoiye"
i watch it at least twice a week and i am currently waiting for gina rileys autograph because i absolutely love the show. i reccomend Kath and Kim to everyone .. ps make sure you watch it during a bit of P&Q (peace and quiet)
Mark In Nottingham
Kath and Kim are my all time faves. Ive been watching them for about 18 months now and seen every episode recorded in all three seasons. My hope is they make is big time over here in the UK. I love them, wait until you see Prude and Trude as well towards the end of series one they are great. Long live kath and kim ;-)
Kate
So totally adicted to K&K. Its different AND unusual. Saw it in OZ last year - hillarious. Tru and Pru kill me. And Sharon coming in with another boil, rash, bandage or splint on is enough to get me every time. Noice.
Claire
Religiously watched it on FTN....its hilarious!! when i saw the trailer for bbc2 i text about 20 of my friends tellin them to watch it! cant wait....
Glen Waverly
It's pacifically the best comedy from that part of the Specific.
Hayley
K&K is the best. Even tho i own the DVDs i'll still watch it on BBC2! dont miss it - this thursday!!
tom maher ex bendigo victoria australia . Now Na
Their antics and humour make me proud to be an AUSSIE. Us Aussie`s like to be real larrikins. To iam never far from home.Even now ihavnt lost my aussie accent, andi'm proud to be an aussie . My stepfather used to work with Paul Hogan ; before was famous . I think it was the paint they used on the sydney harbor bridge ?
vinnie
it airs on BBC2 on the 12 of May. Kylie appears in the LAST episode of Series Three. It is one of thee all time greates comedies ever. I love the office, Little Britain and Ab Fab, but you can't beat Kath and Kim.
Kim: "I've still got a shocking headache. I'm never drinking again"
Kath: "More Bailey's Kim?"
Kim: "Yes thanks!"
Jacob Woodfield
If you liked alan partridge, you will LOVE this!!! I have seeen it on digital T.V and thought that it was BRILLIANT!!! I cant wait to see it again!!!
Rob Laugharne
Absolutely amazing. I watched series 1 on Living then ended up ordering all 3 series from Australia. My Big Girls Blouse DVD arrived today also and it was great to see where K&K came from.
A Hornbag
I am reliably informed that the Beeb will be showing this magnificent comedy masterpiece on May 12th 2005 at 10:00 on BBC2. Set your VCRs peoples! Dig out the footy franks, the tia maria, the tim tams and the toiny teddies ... and get set, for the roide, of your loife!
Cathy
I'm a kiwi but Kath & Kim is one of those Aussie things we would love to steal! Loved the day at the races, loved the adult nappies, loved Sharon's affair with the jockey, loved Kylie's cameo as a grown up Eppone Rae ... too funny!
Kim Craig'ne Day
Its great, fresh comedy thats chucks up great unique laughs, eg when Kath's marital councellor reveals she wasnt qualified to marry Kath to Kell, Kath goes 'oh Marion, you boob!'. She later forgives Marion and does not tell Kim of Marions inqualification, hence Kim gets Marion to baptise her (during her brief religious phase) in Kath's spa bath (which is filled with gray water from the dish washer to conseve water, as a drought is on in Australia,)
Sam
An excellent show, surprised it’s taken this long for the beeb to discover it.
First watched it, like others, on FTN channel and became hooked, so much so brought back series 1 & 2 on DVD from a trip down under last year. May not be everyone’s cup of tea but would put money on it being a hit and imagine it will not be long before phrases from the show will be heard across the UK… Look at moi ploise,
Lydia
Look at me please. It is the funniest thing ever! When is it coming, I've been waiting ages and you said winter 2004?!
Nick
So when is this show coming to BBC2? Winter's passed and I'm getting worried. I saw the first 2 series and just ordered the 3rd on DVD. But I think the masses deserve to see it too. It's one of the best comedies in the world ever.
Maurice
my wife and I were first introduced to Kath & Kim by Quantas in flight entertainment on the way to a holiday in Australia in February 2005 and we had to track down series 1 on dvd to bring back to the UK. it is just so funny, we are now after the rest of the series and will look out for any new episodes in future
peter stanfield
yes i have seen all 3 series and they are great and have to wait till the 3rd to see kylie in the best role ever. But when are the bbc going start showing them been waiting so long now
we need more kath and kim
Nigel
First saw it on ftn and have since bought all three series on DVD from Oz. My whole family think it is hilarious. There is so much going on that I can happily watch episodes repeatedly. When is it airing?
Funniest thing I've seen in years. Also check out Glenn Robbins in "All Aussie Adventures". Not as good as K&K, but not bad.
Sarah
Winter is nearly over!!! When will K and K be airing on BBC2?
Kris Webb
K&K is the funniest thing to come out of Oz, but I haven't seen any other Oz comedy shows so I am slightly biased. I don't know if it was the pressure inside the plane I was on to Thailand but when I saw the episode 'Gay' I was in hysterics! One question - when's it coming on?
Andy M -Bristol
Since seeing it for the first time on FTN I have been hooked!!! It is absolutely excellent. For anyone who has not seen it before, you have to watch it!
Paddy - London
I found K+K on FTN last year and now own all 3 seasons on dvd! It is the funniest thing EVER, it'll make your muffintop wobble peoples!!
Karen Wilson
Hi I'm an Aussie living in Kent. I've been a fan of the comedians Jane, Gina, Magda, Peter and Glenn for such a long time and have seen them in many comedy shows in Australia.
I first caught this show on LivingTV for series 1 and 2 and I think its fantastic it's going to be shown on BBC2.
This new show is absolutely funny and I love the querky catchphrases like "LookatMoiye",
"Ploise" and "Hunk o' Spunk".
I can't wait to see Series 3 when I get the DVD (I'm going back to Sydney for a holiday on 18th March)!
I would love to see a big screen movie of Kath & Kim's adventures in the not too distant future.
You must watch this show it is absolutely hysterical. You'll love it!
d notts
When is it on BBC? Are they teasing us on purpouse, i was addicted to k & k wen i was in australia
Stuart McCaighy
I'm loving myself sick with Kath & Kim.
West Aussie
This is by far one of the best comedy series. I am totally addicted I'm sure the episode with Kylie Minogue will make every one in Britain just adore it too.
Chris
Kath & Kim is the best! SO FUNNY! Look at moiye ploise ... noice, different, unyewsyewel ... Kath's wedding day, Kel's wedding sausage, naming the baby, Kylie's cameo, Marion the marriage celebrant, Sharon's hobbit-like boyfriend, Brett's mum, Kath's flower arrangement class, Kim's baby shower, Prue and Trude ... I see what I like, and I like what I see! DON@T MISS IT!
Colin
I LOVE Kath & Kim! It is sooo funny. I have so many favourite bits I can't remember them! Hopefully it will catch on here. p.s. Look at moi, I'm a hornbag
Jackson Langhorne
Hi Everyone in UK!
I am from Australia, and I love about 2 hours north of where this show is made. I have to say, that Kath and Kim is honestly the best comedy that I have seen on TV in years! It is so funny! Please take my word for it, and tune in whenever you can! It is brilliant! You will love it so much!
Evan Perkins
I pacifically aksed for more orgazmo and rhino stones!
Have loved K & K since they appeared on "Big Girls Blouse" about 9 years ago. It's the funniest thing on TV. Very Australian, very Melbourne, very "yumorous".
Deb
An Aussie friend has recommended that we see this when it airs - can anyone tell me when it's due to be shown?
Jennifer
Love it? I'm OBSESSED. Kath and Kim has become a way of life for me - have ordered all the DVDs from Oz and am 100% concinved that the Brits are going to love it. Don't let the fact that it's Australian make you think you wont get it - I'd say 99% of the show is relateable, and for the 1% of the references we Britsh wont get, the context determines the meaning. Gina and Jane are geniuses ... watch out Brits, Kath and Kim are coming. LOOK AT THEM PEOPLES!
Craig (EX UK)
When i first watched it here in Australia, it took a bit of gettin used to, but compared to some of the things the ABC have bought from the BBC, it's very good but watch out for the slang of these aussies :-)
south aussie
if you are all wondering what part kylie plays in the 3rd series it is kim's daughter at the age of around 18
amanda
it is so funny!!!i love it and and everybody i know loves it!!!
Gaz
I was one of the first lucky Poms to ever see K&K -It all seemed a bit weird first of all, but stick with it and you'll soon see what a brilliant cult classic it is, and how it deserves to do internationally for Oz what 'the Office' did for us.
It goes to show that Aussie comedy REALLY has come on since the old days of the 'Paul Hogan Show'!!
Joel
As 500 people have said, Kylie is in the third series. She plays Kim's daughter in a flash-forward in the last episode of season 3.
Bout time BBC, this is gonna be huge!
Nerida
i'm living in holland but we get bbc here, please show kath and kim to keep my sanity!!!
Carl - Nottingham
I first saw this brilliant comedy on FTN. I can't wait for it to come to the Beeb. The funniest episode is the Wedding in Series 1. The UK thinks that Little Britain is funny, wait til the pommes catch on to this one! It's nice, it's really different . . .
Liam Summer
watch it and dont give up - my mates watched it and hated it but they only watched one!
Matt
It is incredibly funny. My favourites are the ladies who work in the David Jones style department store. They are so on the money with these characters! Anyone who has shopped in Melbourne (or Chelsea in UK) has met these two.
Maureen Heddle
I've been a fan since we caught the series on FTN. Absolute class. One of our mates is scarily similar to Kimmie!
Lauren
Oh MY god i love Kath and Kim it is hilarious and also Prude and Trude i love it and my friend and i act it out basiclly every day
Mark in Oz
To Charlotte and others who may be interested: Kylie is in the last episode of Series 3. It screens in Oz on 25 November 2004. There were some pictures in the paper last week. It is a flash forward to Epponee-Rae's wedding day and Kylie is having a Charlene (her Neighbours character if you remember) moment. It looks like it will be hilarious.
James - Manchester UK
Poodle perms, vinyl grey slip on shoes, gum nut ear rings, power dressing shoulder pads, It's very ironical! Kath and Kim is the new black!
Sebastian
I think K&K is a work of satirical genius. No matter where you live, you'll always find that stereotypical suburbanite living near you somewhere, (I've got a couple of Kaths down my street)!
P.S. Geoffrey Rush and Kylie definitely apear in the next series.
lee chester england
cant wait for k and to hit british tv properly it's the funniest thing i've seen in ages i'm sure everyone will soon be quoting the famous " look at moi look at moi" before they know it
Natalie - OZ exUK
Graet show, didn't think the poms would get the humor, but they are obviously grasping it well!!
Helle
My parents live in Oz and have sent me videos of this show - it is brilliantly funny although some of the references are Australian and if you haven't been there you will miss the joke.
charlotte
can anyone tell me exactly what episode kylie is on? it wasn't the first one.
Tia
I would if I was you :)
It's excellent!!
Lauren Chalmers
I love the show and cant wait til it come out on DVD. One of the best shows to come from OZ brilliant show.
Eugene in OZ
It is the funniest show ever. The second series has just started and love it as much as the first two
Chris Corbett
'The Office meets The Royle Family' - couldn't wait for terrestrial screening -had to buy Series 1&2 on DVD from Aus. See something different every time I watch them.
Gem
I first saw K&K 18 months ago when FTN showed series one late spring 2003. I have been hooked since episode one and even had the DVDs shipped over here to the UK because we're so far behind them! Series 1 & 2 are both great, can't wait for series 3 which is currently airing in Aus!
Sue Collins
Look at moi ploise, Kath & Kim is sooo funny, you must watch
Michael Baks
You must watch Kath and Kim, it is absolutely hillarious!!!!!!! They play Australian Suburbians with such honesty. its so funny, I am just not sure how people in the UK will understand the humour, but I guess , that program, the royals with that family who sat around all day in their lounge room, well I am Australian and I got that that humour, Please watch it, its a gem
Alex in Oz Ex. UK
Its the new Ab Fab lady's and gentlemen. Which has am sorry to say become repetitive and lost it's appeal. A real class act for K&K though. Being interviewed you can really see the actors are just out there to have fun, and are not phased by the stardom. This really comes through in the show: The mother and daughter Kath & Kim are hilarious and un-pretentious to boot.
Am sure it will soon become a cult thing, a lot more main stream than the League of Gentlemen for example which is another fab show - Showing there's still great sit.com talent out there! Which is a much needed release from all thoes dire so called 'reality show's
Final verdict K&K It's definately the bee's knees!
sally sue
it's nice, different and unusual
Sarah McDonald
I am an aussie and I love kath and kim and I am 15! It's hilarious and all the kids at school think so too, many of the words slip into everyday conversation like look at moi etc. A must see show, i am positive that the UK will fall in love with it like Australia has
Tom and Juan
We have been fans for some time since stumbling upon it on Living TV. It's the funniest thing to ever come from Oz (including Rolf Harris and his digerreedoo). Fab stuff!!
Alex
Just saw the first episode of the third series (here in Melbourne). Just brilliant. So very `Melbourne'.
THon
So David Dillon - real worry if you use a title as an indicator as to whether something is funny or not. Ever heard of The Office?
Eli
I live in Australia and Kath & Kim Series 3 starts tonight, everyone is so excited! I can't wait to here Kath say 'Look at moi, Look at Moi ploise.'
Mark in Oz
Everyone is keeping tight lipped about Kylie's cameo. But a few weeks ago someone (supposedly from the set) reported anonymously on radio that Kylie plays Kim's daughter Epponnee-Rae as a grown up. We shall have to wait and see. Also, there is a Pop Idol moment when one of the Australian Idol judges appears in an episode judging Bubs Idol at Fountain Lakes shopping centre!!
Tom O'Connell
It's grayssch!
I like what I see!
Bronwyn
K&K third series starts here tomorrow!!
and I can confirm that Kylie will be making a cameo this season.
Harry - Aus
I have heard Kylie Minogue is in the next series of this show. can any one confime this???
---
Yes she is definately in series 3 which starts tommorrow (7 October) here in Australia.
I hope you enjoy it over there.
Jennifer
Now look at me, look at me, look at me ploise... I've got one word to say to you viewers... WATCH!
(and be highly amused)
Merrile
"Kath and Kim" is a fabulous show, if you want to see "Kath and Kim" in their early days, check out australian comedu sketch show "Big Girls Blouse", where it all started with Kath, Kim and Sharon preparing for Kim's big day.
Kristin Thomas
I have a australian boyfriend and he told me about Kath and Kim, unfortunately for him I am now addicted and he sick of watching the re-runs!!!!
Definetly the kind of programme if your wanting a real laugh!!!
Bongo
Has BBC2 announced a screening date yet?
Mandi
My Australian flatmate insisted that I watch this show. I had to watch it several times to fully comprehend the jokes, but I have to say that its a breath of fresh air on the BBC! I only hope it doesn't end up going down the same road as Ab Fab. I understand that there is a 3rd series - I think thats the limit! 10/10
Dave
Seen it by accident for the 1st time on living tv only logged on the internet to see when it was next on am sooo glad it is to be aired on 2. Has to be one of the funniest programmes i have seen in ages
Christine
I have never laughed so hard watching television in my entire life! 'Kath & Kim' is truly hilarious, and I pray that one day, we poor folk in Canada will be able to see this hit t.v. show!
Wayne
This is the funniest tv show ever. i HAVE watched it 3 times and still miss funny stuff. Make sure you tell everyone you know to watch it. Yes apparently Kylie has already filmed the episode shes in. In real life Kylie has a K&K apron and Dannii has the K&K oven mits. I hope it gets advertised before its shown....
Abe
Kylie Minogue makes a cameo in the first episode of series 3 joining a long list of actors and comedians who have played cameo roles.
Craig - Melbourne Aus
Please don't be put off by the bland title of this show. No matter what country you are in, you will recongnise a Kath and / or Kim. There are Kath and Kims all over the world. Give it a go. I just hope the 'Melbourne' and Australian local humor is not too local to be understood overseas. From what I read on this site - it's not a problem with viewers in the UK that have seen it. I hope you enjoy our Melbourne 'foxy ladies' in UK ! And yes...the rumours are true.. the third series airs here in Australia on 7th October and as for that other Melbourne girl - Kylie, appearing in the 3rd series ?? I don't know. I will let you know after it airs here
Paul Webb
I am a huge Kath and Kim fan and believe that the show, with it's well observed humour, will do really well in the UK. I work in a DVD store in Melbourne and have lost count of the number of Brits that have bought the DVD while on holiday to take home and show their friends. It's noice, it's different, it's un-ewes-yewl! PS. International audiences may be familiar with Geoffery Rush, Rachel Griffiths and Kylie Minogue, who all make guest appearance in the third series (which airs as of next week in Australia)
Nicole
I am in Austrlia and am in total LOVE kath and kim. It is The Perfect Show and Is so funny that anyone would fall in love with it thoose people who dont give it a chance dont lnow what they are misssing!
Steve
I have lived in Aus - ex UK - for two years and this is a must see. It will be interesting whether the British public 'get'the humour as its heavily based on 'bogan'suburban Melbourne. Its the best Ausie comedy I have sen though and ranks among the standard of the better UK series.....give it a watch - you won't regret it!
Dennis Thomas
I have heard Kylie Minogue is in the next series of this show.
can any one confime this???
Emma Harris
I would defintely recommend everyone watches Kath & Kim! I love it and am so pleased it's coming to BBC2 soon.
David
Get ready Brits for the ultimate comedy. One of those shows you need to watch 3 times to catch everything.
Lisa
My mum and I have been avid viewers of this on digital TV for some time. I predict this will be the new cult comedy viewing on Beeb 2. Just what we need for the long winter months ahead! I hear a third series is underway in Oz.
Fiona
K&K is the funniest Australian comedy ever. I've bought both series one and two on DVD. My great hunk of spunk husband agrees.
This show is fantastic. I often find myself doing 'look at moiye' with my one year old son.
Michael
This is the funniest programme ever - a cross between Sylvanian Waters and The Royle Family. I liked it so much I had to buy the DVD in Australia. When will it be shown here ploise?
David Dillon
I've not seen it and I don't think the title's very amusing so I'm a bit sceptical. But I may give it ago
