The producer. He's in charge. Unless you count the director and the agents. Oh, and the stars. They can be very demanding. And the editor. But otherwise he's the boss.
Ash Atalla is best known for The Office, which he produced at the BBC. A little known show, it disappeared without a trace and garnered no awards of note. He also had a cameo appearance in Ricky Gervais' (whoever he is) stand-up show Politics.
Since then he has become Editor of Comedy at Talkback Thames, where he came up with the concept for Man Stroke Woman after 'an early mid-life crisis' at the age of 32-and-a-half.
If that wasn't enough, Ash also worked with Graham Linehan (co-writer of Father Ted) on Channel 4 sitcom The IT Crowd.
