Look Around You   Your Vision of 2000   Toothbrush
Look Around You People

Toothbrush - by Oliver Pilsworth.  My vision of 2000 is the 'electric toothbrush'. Although such a device has been constructed in the past, it was unsuitable for domestic use as it required a high voltage power source and required three men to operate it. One man for each of its control arms. But, with a smaller body, one that can be held by the person who wishes for clean teeth, the 'electric toothbrush' could see its way in to homes across domesticated England. It would be easy to use, with a simple control interface, comprising of two speed control buttons (one for each of its directed brushing actions) and a safety control stick (to stop the device in case of emergencies). The battery pack in such a device, it is expected, would last up to seven minutes without signs of deteriation, when running on half speed. Although this is only when taking in to account an advance in battery capabilities. Overall I am excited about this idea, and can't wait to see such a device made a reality.
