Suave, bequiffed car salesman Swiss Toni sees himself as a kind of guru-figure to trainee Paul (played by upcoming writer and performer, Rhys Thomas, trivia fans).
According to Swiss Toni, selling cars (and answering the phone and putting up a tent for that matter) is 'like making love to a beautiful woman'. In fact, there isn't much that Swiss can't manage to somehow compare to making love to a beautiful woman.
But Swiss Toni has a dark secret. When he sends Paul out to talk to customers, it isn't just for the experience. Swiss's wife has left him and he has lost his magic salesman touch. A little bit of Fast Show tragedy.
Swiss Toni is not Swiss, and believe it or not, his accent was based on Sean Connery's. No explanation was ever given as to why he had a girl's name.
