Whilst the Office is great, to say "we were the first to have that level realism" is just totally wrong. The incredible People Like Us was on TV quite a bit before the first series of The Office and whilst not only being before was miles better and far more original and clever and subtle.Plus, it's a bit early to be feeding certain egos isn't it?And also, the US version has far exceeded the brilliance of the original now, with a character who doesn't need to resort to latent racism et al for depth.I hope that these points will be highlighted throughout these docs.

'People like us' is no where near as subtle as 'The Office'. The Office is filmed and performed in a way that depicts an admittedly strange, but nonetheless real working environment. 'People Like Us' was a fantastically funny programme, but one which centred around the absurd gibberish, and nonsensical questions of the actual interviewer/documentary maker.
