Will Adamsdale lives the Festival dream with his show 'Jackson's Way'.
Actor Will Adamsdale was so unsure of his one man show he booked a theatre space in Edinburgh for just one week.
After some great write ups and glowing endorsements from fellow performers such as Stewart Lee, Adamsdale soon had a hit on his hands and extended the run.
Now the show has won the Perrier Award. In it Will Adamsdale plays Chris John Jackson, an American life coach. One Newsnight Review critic described the show as unoriginal as a concept but brilliantly written and performed.
Will received the £7,500 prize last night and now, in all likelihood, will be inundated with offers from the world of TV and Radio.
Other Nominees were Sarah Kendall, Chris Addison, Reginald D Hunter and sketch duo Epitaph.
In the Best Newcomer section the winner was Wil Hodgson's show The Passion of the Hodgson.
