Stop The Traffic... and the Show

Edinburgh's blue meanie traffic wardens live up to their name...

Bad news for the Escape theatre company yesterday they had to cancel their show after their car full of props and costumes was towed from right outside their venue less than two hours before curtain-up.

Even more frustrating was the £135 fine they had to cough up to get the vehicle back.

Jenny Lawson, from Escape Productions, said: "Escape in Chic did not live up to its name today - cancelling half an hour before the show is a shoddy kind of chic."
